四川是沼气大省,沼气建设时间长,沼气技术也较为成熟。
在四川沼气界,有这样一位女士:出生于书香门第,生活在大城市;但她不仅爱上了这个和粪污打交道的行业,而且还自费求索,成为国际知名的行业专家,并带领一支四川沼气人远赴重洋,将四川沼气推向非洲大地。
她叫王彤,被称为“沼气玫瑰”。她的故事正随着沼气事业的推广,在非洲大地传播。
结缘沼气 川妹子定下人生目标
作为业界的知名人物,王彤一年中,有一半的时间是在天上飞,奔赴德国、非洲以及国内各省。对王彤的采访,也是一波三折。1月10日,记者终于见到了王彤本人。
“下个月中旬又要走了,春节也将在非洲过。那边的先期项目要验收移交,新的合作条约要签订。如今国家正在实施‘一带一路’倡议,我们要依托这个好时代,再干一番事业。”王彤一边忙着办理事务,一边向记者讲述了她的非洲沼气路。

中国沼气技术在非洲大陆绽放

据悉,由成都德通环境工程有限公司承建的布基纳法索市政人粪处理综合利用沼气工程,于2017年底正式移交给布基纳法索国家卫生局。这标志着比尔·梅琳达盖茨基金会援助的第一座规模化人粪沼气发电工程进入商业运营阶段,该项目每年可有效处理人粪和有机垃圾14万吨,装机规模1.1MW,年发电300万度。不仅实现一定经济效益,更是极大的改善当地卫生条件,有效减少疾病传播,产生很好的社会效益;得到了盖茨基金会、世界银行、西非发展银行、布基纳法索政府、西非共同体的高度认可。

户用沼气发酵罐在高温天气下通过阻止苍蝇和蚊子在未处理的粪污内繁衍从而提高卫生条件。为当地人民提高了生活质量,且有利于提高人民的身体素质。沼气照明、沼气烹调和沼气炉直接改善了农村人民的居住和教育条件,尤其是为农村妇女和小孩寻找做饭用木柴节约了时间。另外,发酵罐所生成的沼液和沼渣-安全的有机肥料,将会提高农业产量和降低化学肥料的使用,保证了农村家庭收入,同时也保护了环境。


目前德通公司有2种户用沼气发酵罐,软体沼气发酵罐(气袋和半膜式发酵罐)和玻璃钢户用沼气发酵罐。

户用沼气工程将畜牧粪便转换为沼气和沼渣沼液。国内一个运行的户用沼气发酵罐年平均沼气产量为300-438立方米,而同样的发酵罐在非洲或者南亚,由于较高的气候原因,沼气年产量会达到甚至高于这个值。在中国由于人口基数较高,户用沼气的普及率相对较低,目前成千上万的户用沼气发酵罐已安装投入使用。从可持续和环境保护方面来说户用沼气发酵罐的应用对中国人民生活的改善意义重大。

Organic Waste Treatment System

DeTong’s household waste treatment system has been successfully applied in a number of cities in China. This technique adopts a comprehensive recycling treatment approach to deal with municipal and household wastes, i.g. making wastes go through separation processes then having the re‐utilizable portion recycled, in turn applying BEB’s new‐type anaerobic dry digestion technique to the rest of organic wastes for clean energy production. The produced biogas is used for power generation, or undergoes further purification to serve as vehicle fuel gas or canned gas for residential use; whereas the remaining sludge after digestion can be further turned into organic compound fertilizer.

Organic Wastewater Treatment

The residue from processed crops in the factory, which is high in organic substance, is ideal for biogas production, because of its quicker gas production and shorter production period. On one hand, this technology can make waste profitable; realize sufficient use of waste resource and notable economic benefit. On the other hand, it solves the liquid waste disposal problem, effectively controls the liquid waste and breeding of mosquitoes and flies. It also avoids the contamination of nearby rivers and potable water. The organic fertilizer and biogas slurry can boost the development of local farming industry, increase farmers’ income, to finally realize the win‐win path of treatment and utilization.

Low Energy‐Consumption Wastewater Treatment Process

DeTong´s low energy consumption small‐scale wastewater treatment process consists of the BEB‐DEWATS module and amphibious plant filter. DEWATS decentralized wastewater treatment system is a type of small‐sized wastewater treatment system which is defined relative to those larger centralized ones. It can be independently applied in rural areas where pipe network systems cannot be popularized. DEWATS system possesses a number of advantages including flexible type selection, strong impact resistance, no operation costs, low maintenance costs, etc.
This technique is extremely useful and suitable to be applied to wastewater treatment projects in new communities, rural towns and villages far away from urban pipe network systems that look for a save and low cost option to decrease the pollution of freshwater bodies by the discharged waste water.

DeTong´s Kitchen Waste Treatment System adopts the advanced digestion technique (e.g. two‐step anaerobic digestion process) from BEB. The system includes mainly a number of key components like oil‐sludge separation, wet pretreatment, two‐step anaerobic digestion process, combined heat & power production (CHP), solid‐liquid separation, oxygen‐controlled composting, wastewater treatment, biological deodorization, and automatic control.

Kitchen waste contains a large amount of organic materials, thus it is a type of optimal raw material that can be easily digested and degraded by anaerobic microorganisms for biogas production. Kitchen waste goes through a two‐step digestion process for clean energy production; in turn the produced biogas is used for power generation, or undergoes further purification to serve as vehicle fuel gas or canned gas for residential use. Meanwhile, the slurry and sludge after digestion can be applied as high‐efficient organic fertilizer in ecological organic agriculture. This system, as an advanced technique for the harmless, recycling and industrialized treatment of kitchen Waste, has been subjected to vigorous promotion in Germany at present.

BEB’s garage‐type dry fermentation process is mostly involved and used in biogas projects for municipal organic waste and straw treatment. The advantages of this process include no requirement of agitators, pumps and feeding pipes. The digestion will not be affected by any unsuitable materials such as plastics, wood blocks and sandstones; therefore the process does not require any special separation equipment before digestion. As there are no operating components such as agitators existing in the fermentation room, the system possesses very high reliability.

Highlights of the Garage Type Dry Fermentation Process

  • Wide range of availability: Can be used not only in agricultural straw biogas projects but also in recycling & reutilization of municipal organic wastes as well as kitchen waste treatment.
  • High total solid content (TS) in digested material can be up to 25-50%. Thus applicable to single or mixing raw material, e.g. municipal organic wastes, straw, livestock & poultry manures, etc.
  • When compared with the wet digestion process, there is no requirement of a slurry storage tank, and the slurry can directly be applied as organic fertilizer for use after dry digestion
  • Low energy consumption of system due to no operating equipments
  • Low maintenance cost, high reliability of automation control and low degree of reliance of system on mechanical equipments
  • High biogas yield (100-180 m³/t), high methane content in biogas (60%-70%) and low H2S content (20-50 ppm)
  • Modularized design and convenient capacity expansion
  • High economic benefits & profits from power and heat generation, organic fertilizer, treatment of extra municipal wastes, etc.

To solve the bottleneck problem of straw biogas plants, DeTong cooperates with BEB Berlin for DeTong straw pretreatment and agitation technologies.

Advantages of Straw Biogas Technology

  • Larger range of availability of raw materials, thereby solving the problem in regard to source of feeding materials for biogas production, as well as blazing a new trail for straw recycling.
  • High gas yield, i.e. around 100~150m3 biogas can be produced by straws in every mu (666.67m2) of land throughout each season
  • The straw-to-biogas process is a clean production process. The remaining slurry can be used in the moisture control of next batch of digested materials, thus realizing the cyclic utilization and also reducing the slurry discharge prominently
  • The energy utilization value of biogas produced by straw is higher than that obtained from direct combustion & thermal pyrolysis of straw (i.e. For every kilogram of straw, the amounts of energy generated through biogas digestion, direct combustion and thermal pyrolysis are 2.9~5.9MJ, 1.5~1.9MJ and 1.2~1.5MJ respectively.)

Pretreatment Facilities

The pretreatment for straw is the key process for the operation of a straw biogas plant. DeTong provides the straw raw material for pretreatment process concept aiming at different kinds of straw as corn, rice, or wheat straw.
DeTong´s straw pretreatment facilities are able to shred, extrude, mix, and to feed the substrate into the digester, safely and stably. Multiple assemblies would be provided by DeTong, according to different kinds of pretreatment processes, to meet the requirement of raw material quality.

Agitation Facilities

DeTong straw agitation facilities are made up by a vertical flow guidance agitator and at least one horizontal agitator. The floating material would be sucked to the bottom of the digester by the tube of the vertical agitator, to entirely mix the substrate. DeTong agitation system is reliable, stable, energy saving, and able to solve various problems for straw biogas plants.

A straw-biogas project employs straw as the principal raw material, which is subjected to anaerobic digestion in order to produce both biogas and biogas fertilizer – The former is utilized in rural production and livelihood so as to improve the living conditions of rural households, while the latter realizes the “waste-to-manure” transition process thus improves the fertility of soil. Straw-biogas projects can not only protect ecological environment but also serve as a main measure for both agricultural energy saving & emission reduction and development of renewable energy sources.

Household biogas digesters can improve sanitary conditions by preventing the breeding of flies and mosquitoes in untreated manure in hot weather. The Improved living conditions for local people are beneficial for people’s physical quality. Biogas lamps, biogas rice cookers, and biogas stoves would directly improve the living and educational conditions for rural population, especially for women and children by saving time to collect firewood for cooking. Besides, safer organic fertilizer, slurry and sludge are provided from household digesters, thus will result in agricultural production increase and chemical fertilizer consumption decline. This is also beneficial for the financial situation of the families in a CO2 neutral way and at the same time it will protect the environment.


At present, Detong have two kinds of the household biogas digesters: The soft biogas digester (Membrane bag and Half Membrane cover) and FRP household biogas digester. Please refer to the following pictures:

Domestic biogas plants convert livestock manure and feces into Biogas and Biogas slurry & Residue. The annual biogas production capacity of a running household digester in China averages 300‐438 m3 and the biogas production of a same running digester in Africa or South Asia would reach or even exceed the figure above mentioned due to its warmer climate. Even the popularizing rate of household biogas digester in China is still not very high due to the huge population, millions of household biogas digesters have been and being installed. The application of household digesters in China has improved Chinese people’s life significantly in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.

Advanced technologies and designs from the German company BEB are adopted in DeTong CSTR anaerobic digesters. After years of research and application, the product has been standardized and serialized. The steel structure digesters are divided into two series: Independent digesters and digesters with gas storage, all suitable for animal manure, straw waste, domestic and industrial organic waste biogas plants. Pressure protection device, agitators, heat exchangers, feeding system, discharging system and thermal system are also part of the facility.

After years of research and development, DeTong brought an own product line to market. Developed in cooperation with its German partner BEB, we offer steel structure digesters with gas tanks as well as independent digesters that are suitable for a wide range of input materials.

Household Digesters

Household digesters can greatly improve the sanitation and living conditions in rural areas. DeTong offers 2 kinds of biogas digesters for households: soft digesters and FRP digesters. These can be accompanied by, for instance, stoves, boilers or rice cookers for use with biogas.

BEB BioEnergy Berlin

BEB BioEnergy Berlin was established in 2004 in Berlin. The company is specialized in planning, design and construction supervision of biogas/wastewater facilities, mainly focuses on biogas plant for agricultural and organic waste treatment. The main objective of BEB is the execution of projects in the fields of municipal and agricultural waste, energy recovery, utilization and renewable energies. BEB has implemented and established over 50 projects in terms of biogas, wastewater treatment and renewable energy in worldwide, including Canada, UK, Bulgaria, Turkey, Tanzania, Kenya, Cuba, Peru, Japan, Taiwan and China.
BEB Hydropower Department in BEB China Office was specially founded for the global hydropower development based on the cooperation with Chinese partners. Agricultural Biogas Plants

Straw Biogas Plants

To solve the bottleneck problem of straw biogas plants, DeTong cooperates with BEB Berlin for DeTong straw pretreatment and agitation technologies.


Dry Fermentation Process

BEB’s garage‐type dry fermentation process is mostly involved and used in biogas projects for municipal organic waste and straw treatment. The advantages of this process include no requirement of agitators, pumps and feeding pipes. The digestion will not be affected by any unsuitable materials such as plastics, wood blocks and sandstones; therefore the process does not require any special separation equipment before digestion. As there are no operating components such as agitators existing in the fermentation room, the system possesses very high reliability.


Kitchen Waste Treatment

DeTong´s Kitchen Waste Treatment System adopts the advanced digestion technique (e.g. two‐step anaerobic digestion process) from BEB. The system includes mainly a number of key components like oil‐sludge separation, wet pretreatment, two‐step anaerobic digestion process, combined heat & power production (CHP), solid‐liquid separation, oxygen‐controlled composting, wastewater treatment, biological deodorization, and automatic control.


Municipal Biogas Systems

Wastewater Treatment and DEWATS

The residue from processed crops in the factory, which is high in organic substance, is ideal for biogas production, because of its quicker gas production and shorter production period. On one hand, this technology can make waste profitable; realize sufficient use of waste resource and notable economic benefit. On the other hand, it solves the liquid waste disposal problem, effectively controls the liquid waste and breeding of mosquitoes and flies.
